I think this job is really flexible and it’s one of the benefits of it because I live further afield, but it’s easy for me to be flexible with my time and work from home some days of the week.

Once you’ve entered adult social care, regardless of what role you are in, there will always be opportunities for you to progress, either in that role to move up the ladder, or to look around and see where else you can grow your skills and develop into new directions.
Wendy Digital Project Manager
When I came here, it was my first job in London. So, obviously the move was quite scary but luckily Wandsworth is a nice borough to work in, it’s a welcoming borough and I settled in well.
Ben Social Work Apprentice
There are training and development opportunities. You have teams around you and people in your team to support you and you just don’t have to worry. You are not on your own.
Margaret Assistant Service Manager/Social Supervisor
I would recommend joining Richmond and Wandsworth as we are a local authority who values professional development, and we will support a social worker every step of the way.
Ozan Locality Manager
I work from home a few days a week, and then I come into the office, and I can go to both Richmond and Wandsworth offices depending on what my duties involve or what is more convenient to me which is really great.
